Release Notes for Loree A2403.2

Published On: 29/07/2024

Feature Enhancements

1. Extra Canvas Tags Support

  1.  Previously, users of Loree encountered difficulties when key components such as summaries and details vanished from pages because of unsupported tags.
  2. We have now enhanced Loree to accommodate all of these tags. This enhancement guarantees that your material will remain intact when transitioning between Canvas and Loree. Along with the list of Canvas supported tags that was published earlier in Release notes version A2402.1, Loree supports the following extra three tags:
    1.
    <header>
    2.  <footer>
    3.  <tfoot>

2. Attribute Support across all tags

  1. Canvas supports basic attributes such as style, class, id, title, role, lang, and dir for all tags.
  2. Previously, Loree did not support these attributes, but as an enhancement, Loree now supports these basic attributes across all the tags listed below, just like Canvas.
<h1>
<h2>
<h3>
<h4>
<h5>
<h6>
<a>
<table>
<blockquote>
<p>
<embed>
<img>
<iframe
<ol>
<ul>
<li>

Please note: All elements should allow style, class, id, title, role, lang, dir attributes.

Bug Fixes

1. External Tool Edit without Save

  1. Previously, when users attempted to edit the tool names for external tools like Kaltura or H5P in the "External Tools" section under the "Configure" menu of the Admin dashboard, the changes would appear even if the accordion was collapsed without saving. However, these changes were not permanent and would disappear once the page was refreshed.
  2. This issue has now been resolved, ensuring that any unsaved edits will not be reflected in the tool names.

2. External Tools Deletion Navigates to New Section

  1. Previously, when a user deleted an external tool within the External Tool Configuration, it would navigate to another section with editable access.
  2. This bug has now been fixed, and deleting a tool will no longer cause navigation to a different section with editable access.

3. Role Accordion Collapse Issue in Loree When Editing/Deleting Roles

  1. Previously, when users accessed the "Roles and Features" section in the Admin dashboard and tried to open any role's accordion to click the edit or delete button, the accordion would collapse and close in the background.
  2. This issue has now been resolved, and users can edit or delete roles as the accordion will stay open in the background.

4. Strikethrough Not Working After Saving to LMS

  1. Earlier, some users experienced an issue in the Bubble menu of Loree Editor, inside the word option menu, as the Strikethrough option would not work after being saved to LMS.
  2. However this issue has been fixed now and works as expected.

5.  Checkbox Selection Issue in Loree Interactives Image Modal

  1. Earlier, when users tried to click and select the Decorative image checkbox, with any of the Loree interactives like Image/Video Slider, Drag & Drop or Image Hotspot interactive; the checkbox won't get clicked to be selected.
  2. This was a bug fix that has now been resolved. Refer to the image below:

6. Text Option Dropdown UI Hidden

  1. Previously, when users selected two texts using the Header with text option from the Text Element, the font family/size dropdown for the first text would open correctly. However, for the second text option, the dropdown would open upwards, making some fonts inaccessible.
  2. This issue has now been fixed, as shown in the image below:

7.  Icon Style Lost on Replacement

  1. Earlier, when users selected an icon and applied styles such as size, alignment, color, or background, and then replaced the icon with a different one, all previously applied styles would be lost.
  2. This issue is now fixed and replacing the icon will only change the icon source, while retaining all previously applied styles. Refer to the image below:

8. Content Migration for Nested Tables Issue

  1. Recently, Loree users encountered an issue where content edited in Canvas and Loree did not match, leading to inconsistencies between the two.
  2. This was caused as Canvas supports nested tables, whereas Loree does not which made this a migration issue, that has now been fixed. Users will no longer experience this content mismatch.
