Enhancements

Full Screen access to External Tools

  • Previously, the Full screen option was only available for External videos. However, we have now expanded this feature to include iFrame videos, such as  Embed URL, Videos, Canvas studio, and Kaltura.
  • By default, the Allow full screen option will be unchecked when adding a video. If you want to enable the full screen option, simply check the box.

  • When we check the "Allow full screen" option, we will be given the choice to enable full screen mode, as illustrated below. If "Allow full screen" option is unchecked, full screen mode option will be disabled.

  • This enhancement offers greater flexibility and control over the viewing experience, allowing you to enjoy content in full screen mode for a more immersive experience.

NOTE: Furthermore, it is important to note that if you add a course video or a user video (excluding external links) in the Loree editor and uncheck the "Allow full screen" option from the design section before saving the page to the LMS, the video will not directly allow the user to view it in full screen when navigating to the canvas page. However, the canvas page forcefully enables full screen mode for course videos and user videos. Therefore, it is always enabled on the canvas page.

Customizing Titles for iFrame elements:

  • When adding Embed URL, Videos, H5P, Loree Interactive, Audio, Canvas Studio, or Kaltura to your content, there was no option to include a title. However, we have implemented enhancements to address this limitation. Now, with the new title box, you have the ability to add descriptive and engaging titles to your content.

  • By default, the title is automatically generated as "YouTube video player" as shown above. However, you have the option to click on it and edit the title as needed to make it more descriptive and engaging.

Note: The title is a necessary attribute that is recommended for Iframe elements to meet the accessibility standards.

Bug Fixes

Table Issue:

  • Users experienced a problem when adding a table. If they selected multiple columns or rows and applied styles in the design section, the style would only be applied to the last selected row or column.
  • We are excited to inform you that this issue has now been successfully resolved. Now, when a user selects multiple rows or columns, the styles will be applied to all of the selected rows or columns, ensuring consistency across all of them. This enhancement guarantees that the applied styles are consistently applied to all selected rows or columns, as demonstrated below.

Color Contrast Issue in Color Picker:

  • If a user clicked on "Edit row" and selected a background color, the contrast ratio would sometimes show as "pass" regardless of the color applied.
  • We are excited to inform you that this issue has now been successfully resolved. The contrast ratio will now accurately indicate whether it passes or fails.

Lock Aspect Ratio for an iFrame elements:

  • When embedding a URL or video, it will automatically default to a 16:9 aspect ratio for responsive viewing. However, following feedback regarding manual height adjustments, we've improved the "Lock aspect ratio" feature for embedded URLs and videos based on received suggestions.
  • By default, this option is selected. If you choose to unselect it, the screen size will be reduced and you will be able to edit the height of the video. Previously, only the width could be adjusted, but now you have the flexibility to customize the height as needed.

  • If the lock aspect ratio is checked, the height will revert to its default value. This lock aspect ratio ensures that embed URLs and videos can be added without any extra spaces at the top and bottom of the video as shown below.

                                                                        Thank You!
