Loree users in Canvas now have the ability to easily edit the contents of their syllabus pages using Loree. This feature allows for a seamless editing experience, making it convenient for users to update and customize their course syllabus.
When accessing the Loree landing page in Canvas LMS, users should check the dropdown menu to select the content they want. At the end of the list, they will find the option for the syllabus.
To select the content type, open the dropdown menu and click on "Syllabus". This action will retrieve the current course syllabus and display it in the designated area.
When accessing the syllabus page in Loree, the option to edit the syllabus will be displayed, and no other actions will be available.
When the user on the syllabus page in the landing area of Loree, user can click on the syllabus to edit it. This action will open the Loree editor, where user can make changes to the course syllabus page.
Loree users have the ability to view the design section for both images and text based on their element selection. This allows users to select and apply design settings separately for images and text.
When using Loree, you will notice that images have their own design section, allowing you to customize their appearance. On the other hand, when you select text, a separate design section will appear specifically for text customization.
The feature allows users to select an image on the image with wrap text element and customize the design styles. Users also have the ability to select the text on the Image with Wrap text element and customize the design styles.
The new behavior in the Loree editor is that all the existing design options will now be enabled based on the type of element selected. Specifically, for images in the "Image with text" element, users will have the option to align the image to the left or right.
Now, Users can see two predefined elements for Image with wrap text as secondary.
By clicking on any of those elements, users will be prompted to select an image or icon before injecting it into the editor. Once an image or icon is selected, it will be added to the editor. Loree users can also see a customized tool mini-menu for both image and text elements.
Users will also be able to access the Design section icon located in the side area, which can be used to customize the entire element. When selecting either an image or text, the user will be presented with the Design icon, providing them with further customization options.
In the past, the blockquote in our Editor was not a genuine blockquote. Instead, it was made up of three separate paragraph elements.
The HTML <blockquote> tag is commonly used to display a section of text that is quoted from another source. When using this tag, the browser will typically format the content as indented text.
This customization will be supported on all learning management systems (LMS), the Loree editor, preview screens, and browsers. It will also allow users to customize the styles of the blockquote from the customization area.
It is essential to follow accessibility standards when implementing this customization. This includes considering aspects such as space, margin and padding, background, blockquote style, and border customization. For the border, only the left side will be applied based on the customization area, while the other sides will have a value of 0. The default values for the border are as follows: Border-left: 5px solid #000000.
The default margin is set to 0 0 10px, where the margin-bottom should be 10px. The default padding is set to 0 0 0 20px, where the padding-left should be
Loree users have the ability to perform various actions using the mini-menu for the Blockquote element. These actions include duplicating, deleting, copying, moving up and down, and making ISO code changes for the selected element. This provides users with greater flexibility and control when working with the Blockquote feature in the Loree editor.
Blockquote element enhancements:
In order to improve the usability and functionality of the Blockquote element in the Loree editor, we are introducing some exciting new features. These enhancements will allow users to have more control and flexibility when working with Blockquotes.
The following actions will now be available for the Blockquote element:
- Ability to duplicate: Users can now easily create copies of the selected Blockquote element. This duplication will include the entire element and will be placed in the same column.
- Ability to delete: Users can quickly remove the selected Blockquote element from the editor. This deletion will be immediate and permanent.
- Ability to copy: Users can now copy the selected Blockquote element to the clipboard. This copied element can then be pasted into any column within the editor, all within the same session.
- Ability to move up/down: Users can easily move the selected Blockquote element up or down within the editor. This action allows for easy repositioning of the Blockquote based on its desired location.
Based on user feedback and to enhance the user experience, we are introducing a new way to interact with the Blockquote element. Users will now be able to select the Blockquote as a single component, rather than individual paragraph elements. This change ensures that any toolbar actions performed will apply to the entire Blockquote element.
We believe that these enhancements will greatly improve the usability and functionality of the Blockquote element in the Loree editor, providing users with a more seamless and efficient editing experience.
We have made an important update to the custom block creation and update process. The term "Private" has been renamed as "My" to provide clarity and avoid confusion for users. Previously, when creating or updating custom blocks, the term "Private" was displayed in the custom block modal and side panel. However, we found that this terminology was misleading and could lead to misunderstandings about the concept of "Private". To address this, we have now changed it to "My Template/row/element" in order to accurately reflect the ownership and personalization aspect of these custom blocks. This update ensures a more intuitive and user-friendly experience when working with custom blocks in the Loree editor.
Areas that require updating include the following:
- Save Template modal
- Save Row modal
- Save Element modal
We have recently upgraded the Loree Accessibility checker from version 4.3 to the latest version, 4.7.2. This upgrade brings improved accessibility features to the Loree editor, ensuring that your content is more inclusive and accessible to all users.
If the total number of characters on a page exceeds 500,000, it may not be possible to save the page due to limitations in Canvas.

Each time the user opens the page in Loree, the number of classes is duplicated, resulting in double the count. For example, if the page in Canvas contains 4097 duplicate classes, it will double to 8194 classes. This duplication occurs for each individual class and is also seen in other classes.
Therefore, Now the duplication occurs for each individual class has been fixed and will not be seen in other classes.
If the user sets the border width as 0, the border color will automatically change to black.
To customize the border of a table in the editor, follow these steps:
1. Launch the editor and add a table to your document.
2. Select the cell properties option and open the border settings from the design section.
3. By default, the border width is set to 1px with a grey color.
4. If you want to remove the border, reduce the width to 0px. However, the border may still appear as 1px in the table.
5. To change the border style, select dashed, dotted, or double. Then, increase the width again.
6. After making these changes, you will be able to see that the border color has been applied as black for the table.
This issue has been resolved. If the border width is set to 0px, the cell will not have a visible border, and it will not automatically change to black unless the user specifically changes it.
Thank You.
