The Loree admin can now conveniently configure custom header font size units through the Dashboard. Font size adjustments are available in both pixels (px) and points (pt). In the newly improved integrated Font list, Loree officially supports font sizes ranging from 6 to 72, as shown below:
Currently, this value of font size is only updated in the Admin dashboard.
Additionally, we've introduced a RESET button at the bottom of the Custom Headers section. This feature allows users to restore all Custom Header values to Loree's default settings. Remember that any changes made can only be saved by clicking on the SAVE button.
For Loree admin users, there's a new feature that enhances the user experience when converting templates into Private or Global. You can now preview custom blocks via the Dashboard, aiding administrators in decision-making before making a template global.
We've introduced a PREVIEW option (👁️🗨️) in Custom Blocks. This option allows users to preview their templates before converting them into Global, ensuring a user-friendly experience throughout the process.
This enables the user to now preview Custom templates as shown in the screengrab:
This enables the user to now preview Custom Rows as shown in the screengrab:
This enables the user to now preview Custom Elements as shown in the screengrab:
It all comes with option of responsive Desktop, Tablet as well as Mobile preview.
Now after clicking on the Images option in the Loree editor, the user will be able to see a new image model, as shown below:
The improved UI-Image model enables the user to fetch and use User Images inside Image modal as shown below:
This allows the user to now use both Course Images as well as User Images in the Canvas image.
Users can now conveniently upload images through their User profile. To do this, follow these simple steps:
1. Navigate to your Account.
2. Click on "Files."
3. You can effortlessly upload various types of files such as videos, audio, documents, and images. This data can then be utilized within your courses and all the existing functionalities like cropping, everything will be the same.
This enhanced UI also comes with the Enter URL field to add as shown below:
Now, the Crop image option appears at the bottom of the image instead of appearing over the image, as shown below:
In the case of images, we've made a modification to transform the shape from circular to square.
Previously, the model would automatically adjust the scaling, especially in terms of height, when the image was larger. However, we've now implemented a sticky model. This means the model itself no longer auto-scales, but the image will adjust to fit within it, as illustrated below:
This previously added feature of Loree interactives was missing the Background color feature, which has now been added:
This helps in meeting the consistency around the Iframes as shown in the image below:
This same behavioral feature is provided for all different Iframes as well inside the Loree Editor.
Previously, the Loree editor exclusively offered direct links to platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, and external links, along with services like Kaltura and Canvas Studio. However, as part of an exciting new feature, we are introducing Course Videos and User Videos. You can see this illustrated in the screenshot below:
So Course Videos will be uploaded directly into the Course Files and if users can upload their videos using their Profiles which will automatically get reflected in the Course.
This feature also doesn't come with the Upload option for now, and user can just Fetch and use their videos.
Loree Editor also provides the Search and sorting option, allowing the user to search for their desired video using the Recent/Ascending/Descending options as shown below:
Users can now directly add their external links from Youtube, Vimeo or any other platform using the External link option:
The External tools like Canvas Studio and Kaltura have been shifted to the External tool option in the editor for a more user-friendly experience:
This feature needs to be configured and toggled on from the Admin dashboard.
Earlier, within the Loree Editor, using Shift+Enter would generate a new list item instead of wrapping the text within the same list, as shown below:
Now, when selecting Course images, User images, and Loree images in the modal, the file name input field is disabled. However, for crop images (Course image, user image), external link images, and the upload images option, the file name input field remains enabled.
We've made a change in the accessibility rule. Now, when the file name and the alternate text are the same, it will flag an accessibility issue.
Previously, users had the ability to edit the file name in the current editor and update the file because this field was enabled. However, we've disabled this option only for Course Images and User Images. This is because, when a user uploads a new image, the file name is mandatory, especially for images coming from Canvas. However, after saving them to the LMS, they can potentially trigger an accessibility issue in the Canvas editor unless it is a Decorative Image.
As a part of accessibility enhancement, some alternate texts can be added as per accessibility standard. Alternate Text should not exceed more than 120 characters or the name field will stop accepting characters that you type:
Similar to the character limit imposed on Alternate text within the Image Modal, we have now added this restriction to Quick Fixes as well. Users cannot exceed 120 characters when adding Alternate text. However, it's important to note that for decorative images, users can select the "Decorative Image" option, and upon clicking "Apply," it will be appropriately designated as such.
Table Header Scope fix is a new accessibility role added especially for tables.
If the table header is removed from the table than this accessibility issue arises.
While running an accessibility check, it will throw an issue like 'table element should contain th element'.
When it comes to tables, users can conveniently utilize the Quick Fix feature. Within the table context, there are three options for applying headers: either as row headers, column headers, or both row and column headers. These options allow users to configure how the table header functions to best suit their needs.
After applying the any of the header, the issue will be fixed, as shown below:
Previously, when a user added indent spacing to text, the padding would not be updated automatically, resulting in the following scenario:
Now, when a user selects "Indent Spacing," the default padding for text is set to 5. Each time the user clicks on "Increase Indent," the padding will increase by 40, as demonstrated below:
Earlier when the user added the insert link in the editor using the same tab option and clicked the link in the preview, the link would break as shown below:
With the new link fix feature, users can initiate the preview window by selecting the "Open in New Tab" option. In the preview window, the link will indeed open in a new tab. However, it's important to note that after saving it to the LMS, the link will open in the same tab, as shown below::
Anchors must be navigated within the same page. So when it comes to Anchor, users will be opening the anchor in the same tab only.
Previously, even if the user toggled off both Create Private and Create Global option in custom blocks of admin dashboard, User could still create and save a custom block in the editor.
Now this issue has been fixed .
Earlier in the Loree Editor, Word options were missing their sub-icons, but now this has been fixed and all the sub-icons are visible as shown below:
Syllabus page isn't loading:
Before: Syllabus page isn't loading and the image below is the error screenshot:
After: The issue has been fixed and the user's can view the syllabus page has expected.
