What is a Personlized Token?
Personalized Token is a new feature in the Loree Editor that enables you to effortlessly add user-specific details such as names, email addresses, course information, and more directly into your content. By using smart placeholders, your content automatically adapts to each learner when viewed in Canvas, eliminating the need for manual updates. This not only saves time but also helps create a more engaging, dynamic, and personalized learning experience for every user.
- To use this feature, start by adding or editing a paragraph in the Loree Editor.
Once your text is in place, position your cursor anywhere within the paragraph, either between lines or at the end of the text. This will bring up a set of options such as "Duplicate," "Delete," "Copy," "Language," and "Math Equation." Alongside these, you will notice a new 'Person-vCard' icon, which represents the Personalized Token feature. Refer to the screenshot below:
Using Personalized Tokens
Clicking the Person-vCard icon opens a selection window where you can choose from a range of tokens, including Course Name, Course ID, User Name, User Email, User ID, Time, Day, and Date. Once you select a token, the Insert option becomes available, allowing you to place it directly into your content.
You can continue adding multiple tokens, depending on how personalized you’d like your content to be.
After inserting your tokens, simply click “Save to LMS.” Take a look at the screenshot:
- While working in the editor, these tokens will appear as placeholders. However, once the page is viewed in Canvas, they will automatically update to display the actual user or course-specific details.
If you need to edit or replace a token, simply click next to it in the editor, use the backspace or delete key to remove it, and then insert a new token following the same steps.
It is important to note that tokens will only appear as placeholders while working within the editor. The actual values will only be visible after saving and viewing the page in Canvas.
THANK YOU!
