The External Tools feature in the Loree editor allows users to seamlessly integrate and utilize third-party tools directly within Loree. By linking external tools, users can insert, add, and edit content without switching between different platforms.
External Tools only supports LTI version 1.3Admin Dashboard configuration
- All the external tools need to be configured from the admin dashboard.
- In the admin dashboard > config page > External tool, all the tools need to be configured.
- Kaltura is a video platform that allows users to upload, manage, and share multimedia content within the platform. Refer the document
- Canvas Studio is a video creation and learning tool that allows users to create, share, and interact with multimedia content directly within Canvas. Refer the document
- H5P is an interactive content creation tool that allows users to create and share rich, engaging multimedia experiences such as quizzes, games, and videos.Refer the document
How to use
- Click External Tools from the left panel under Interactive Elements.
- Select the linked tool (e.g., H5P, Kaltura, Canvas studio ...)
- Choose the content and click Insert to add it to your page.
- To edit, click on the inserted content and modify it as needed
Embed URL
The Embed URL block allows you to easily insert and update iframes directly within the editor. This feature is useful for embedding content such as YouTube videos, maps, external web pages, or any other iframe-supported content.
Steps to follow the embed
- Click the Embed URL option from left navigation bar.
- Paste the iframe-supported URL (e.g., YouTube video link, Google Maps link, or any other iframe-based content).
- In the "Insert Embed URL" field, paste the iframe code in the following format:

- Enter a title for the embedded content
- You can also adjust the height
- Full Width: Check this option to make the embed span the full width of the editor.
- Click the "Embed" button to insert the iframe into the editor.
- If you need to cancel, click "Cancel" to close the dialog without embedding.
