Canvas Studio Configuration inside Loree

Canvas Studio Configuration inside Loree

Canvas Studio can be accessed from different places in Canvas LMS, such as the Global Navigation menu, the Course Navigation menu (for instructors only), and the Rich Content Editor as an external tool. We followed some specific protocols to integrate Canvas Studio for our Canvas Loree users.

Step 1: Canvas Studio Login as studio admin

Log in to your Canvas Studio portal as the studio admin using the Studio

Step2: Settings → Developer key

After the login, navigate to the settings page as mentioned in the screenshot below:

After navigate to the settings, go to Developer Keys as shown below:

Step 3: Create Developer key

Click on the + Developer Key button and create the client ID and secret key with the following Name and Redirect URIs. Enter the Save Key button.

Name: Loree Canvas Studio

Based on the User's region during loree installation, you can select either one of the two Redirect URLs as shown below:

https://loreev2.crystaldelta.net/lti/canvasstudio/auth

https://loree-us-api.crystaldelta.net/lti/canvasstudio/auth

After creating the developer key, we could see the new key in Studio as shown in the screenshot below:

Note the canvas domain URL, client ID and Secret ID.

Steps 4: Copy and paste Client ID as well as Secret ID and update domain in Admin Dashboard

Log in to the canvas instructure and click the Admin button in the nav-bar to go to the admin dashboard. From the configure menu on the left side, you can find the Canvas Studio tab.

Paste the Client ID, Client Secret in the related fields, then update your own studio domain instructure url and save the details. This will integrate the canvas studio inside the Loree editor.

After updating the Canvas Studio credentials, Admin can enable Canvas Studio from the Admin dashboard → Roles and features → Advanced → Canvas Studio.

After integrating Canvas Studio into the Loree editor, we can click on the EXTERNAL TOOLS option and select Canvas Studio, as shown below:

After selecting Canvas Studio,  we will get an error message as Failed to Login Canvas Studio Screenshot attached, this will be just for the very first time:

We have to Launch Canvas Studio from the course navigation to establish our user preferences before using it in Loree as shown below:

Once we launch the Studio on our canvas page, our Studio account will be linked with Canvas and we can click on the check box and click on I confirm to proceed to the studio.

When click on I confirm we will get an authentication window where we have to authorize ourselves to access our contents which can be done after logging into your Canvas Account and then click on Authorize as shown inn the images below:

Now we can find all our videos that are present in your Studio account, can select any video and add it to our course.

                                                                        Thank You!
